Where do I start? Thomasine was my mother! But she was so much more. She was a hidden jewel, a precious diamond! She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. 

Thomasine was an inspiration to so many.  She helped everyone she came in contact with.  She was a breath of fresh air and radiance of sunshine in any room.  This was my mommy. 

Like many women, Thomasine was a strong woman that had tremendous struggles; but through them all, (like you, and like me), she persevered and she fought. She fought in prayer, praise, and journaling. My mother wrote down everything, y’all! She wrote about her feelings and about her aspirations. More importantly, she wrote about her desire for all her children to know God for themselves.

She truly loved the Lord and she trusted that God would bring her through anything – And He did! 

She passed December 3, 2007 and her legacy lives on through her family and all those she touched. 

After her passing, Thomasine’s Legacy was created. Thomasine’s Legacy was fashioned to offer hope, laughter, encouragement, value, and healing to all women.  As women, we wear many hats, but we are one person.  Many are wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts, godmothers, guardians and the list goes on.  Women typically don’t put themselves ahead of others.  More often, women are busy doing and taking care of everyone else’s needs. Thomasine’s Legacy is your safe space – a place where women gain support, strength, and community. 

Through Thomaine’s Legacy, I pray that you inhale the breath of God to continue your journey.
